LES CATLINS
Nous allons vers l’Est par la route panoramique qui entre dans les terres puis longe la mer. A partir de Fortrose, nous pénétrons dans la région des Catlins. C'est très très vert!

A Waipapa Point, on voit des lions de mer de très près !
C’est dans cette zone qu’en 1881 un navire, le SS Tararua, a coulé et 131 passagers ont perdu la vie.
Le phare est le dernier construit en bois en Nouvelle-Zélande, il a été érigé après l’accident en 1884.
